Set your alarms, my friends! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public TONIGHT (July 22) at 12:01 am PT! You don't have to pay full price to add new fall pieces to your wardrobe, but you do have to act fast. Several of my favorite items are already sold out from the early access pre-sale. Know what you're looking for before the sale opens so you can get in and get out. I know, it sounds like I'm prepping you for a natural disaster emergency strategy, but let me tell ya, if items sell out while they're sitting in your shopping cart...you'll be calling SOS!

The top is Free People (available in 3 color options on sale for $71.90 (originally $108)...

What makes it so great?

1. Age--I purchased it in blue for my mom and I love that it's an accessible look for multiple generations, which is really unique.

2. Fit--super flattering drop waist swing (runs large--I'm wearing an XS).

3. Versatility--dress it up or dress it down. Pair it with flats, boots, heels...try it with black, navy, khaki, beige, tan, gray, white. You name it, it works.

As for the hat, I can't even. It's gorgeous! The shape alone is stunning, but to add the red to it is just over the top. Available in 4 color options...I'm tempted to buy it in this deep teal!

I normally don't like being matchy matchy when I'm pairing accessories with my outfits, but this look has a monochromatic vibe to it that comes across modern as opposed to matchy, at least in my opinion.

Everybody loves floral crowns, right? Well I'm excited to introduce you to Headbands of Hope, an online shop that donates a headband to a child with cancer for every item purchased. Pom Poms in Pink | FASHION

It started out as a gloomy day with a quick thunderstorm this AM, but the sunshine was out to celebrate Friday after lunchtime...as a result, Dallas felt like a SAUNA today. Mom and I got our hair cut and colored today (check the snaps 👻 'juslikejess'), which is always a treat! Ok, I can put my dramatic weather girl small talk aside. Must get to the good news!

Never Enough NOIR | Fashion

We're less than one day away from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (#NSale), so I'm ready to get in there and grab up my favorites to share with you!!! It feels like I'm prepping to purchase a 96" flat screen TV at a Black Friday sale, but I avoid Black Friday at all costs...so, this is totally different. Public access to the sale opens on July 21, but if you're a Nordstrom debit or credit card holder, YOU will also gain exclusive early access to the biggest sale of the year. I can hardly wait to shop till I drop.

Speaking of incredible sales, this $300 dress is $68!!! 🙀I KNOW. It was my #ootd for our live recording in Peru! Zip back, side pockets, flared fit...the whole nine yards.

This is one of the comfiest outfits ever, which was perfect for our day of rehearsals in Peru. Destination Ocean Avenue | FASHION + TRAVEL

Happy Saturday! I only wish today's destination was Ocean Avenue, Carmel, California. Let's pretend this weekend is another long one like our Fourth of July, shall we? I also wish. Oh well, I'm ready to have a great weekend regardless of my wishful thinking. We have family in from out of town, which is a special occasion and might as well be treated as a national holiday! Excited to have some hang time at home since we've been traveling so much.

On a side note, the look around here has changed recently...what do you think?! I'm still adding a few pages to it and making tweaks...but that's an ongoing, never-ending process! #bloggerlife It kind of feels like moving into a new house...adding my own furniture and hanging pretties on the wall. I realize a site isn't quite as personal as a house, but almost! Blogging is much more personal than I ever gave it credit for (among other things I'm glad I didn't know before I jumped into the deep end)! Anyway, having fun "decorating" around here...hope you're enjoying the new digs as much as I am! 🤗

Can you believe I'm actually wearing a romper?! Still sticking with my black safe zone since the romper is uncharted territory. I love the dressier fabric, the gold embroidery, the lace-up and the billowing sleeves...all such pretty detail. It's been selling out so much that I included several similar rompers just in case.

I would love to tell you exactly how I did my braid action, but I don't think I could replicate it if my life depended on it. Have you ever had one of those hair days?! It just happened. Adding the sun hat to my washing-needed-twisted-braided-double-over-under-wrap-around-never-to-be-duplicated hair DO seemed like just the right touch for the look...plus, it's only $15 (linked below).

July 4 OOTD | FASHION

Happy Independence Day! I'm back in the USA and resting my way through the long weekend. Grateful for the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom...and keeping our great nation in my prayers today. 🇺🇸

On to this July 4 inspired look! This "purse" was actually more like a plastic lunchbox stuffed with popcorn at Tokyo Disney...I did some slight repurposing. 😉The nude mesh dress is $34 and so comfy (linked below)! And I scored these Celine sunnies from Nordstrom Rack, but couldn't find them online (WAH), however I did link a few similar styles!
